Welcome to my new Page I kind of slacked last go round, So here I am ready to write :)
Well This isn't a resent picture but, this is My best friend on the left, Christy. You will probably see me refer to her as "Christy baby" or "Wifey" at some point in this blog..any who, December 12th 2010 I was finishing up making some dinner and I got a phone call from her around 10:30pm, I answered and she was frantic I thought something had happened..well something did happen but it wasn't anything to horrible it was just a little something that was about to change our lives forever :) ! She screams out "BABE, I'm F**king Pregnant!" My first words were NOOOOO!!!!!!! haha second sentence was "Babe, what about your birthday we won't be able to celebrate your 21st!" third sentence was, "I can't believe it, Well :) CONGRATULATIONS!" I'm super surprised that I remembered all of that because I hardly ever remember anything I have to literally write everything down in a book so I don't forget stuff, it drives me nuts but hey, It keeps my stuff straight. But back to the point (ADD) 9 months has flown by and the last few months before Marlee :) arrived I got more and more excited but it still hadn't hit me that my Partner in Crime, My Other Half, My best friend.. Was about to bring a beautiful baby girl into this world.
Well Ladies and Gentlemen (maybe some gentlemen) She has arrived and is So flipping beautiful I can't stand it, She's actually going to be a month old on the 4th..UN FREAKIN BELIEVABLE. Anyways to finish the story.. August 4th (best day ever) around 12:45am I received about 20 phone calls from my best friend and God Sister telling me she's in "F**king labor" and to answer my phone, But guess what I was doing... SLEEPING!!! lol luckily Mickel "My boyfriend" came in the room and said babe your ringtones are really loud why do you keep playing them over and over, haha he realized I was asleep..Christy called one more time and Mickel saw that it was her and said Babe wake up! I think it's baby time, So I call Christy and sure enough she was in labor :) I got teary eyed, I couldn't believe that the time was finally here for Marlee Rae to Make her debut, So christy tells me I'm headed to the hospital my mom is on her way but you don't need to come yet cause I'll be waiting for a while to get back in a room, I said what! I'm coming I'm wide awake now butt-hole, So as I'm driving to the hospital I put in one of our old CD's and I was crying & jammin, It had finally hit me....Happy and sad tears at the same time, Sad tears knowing that our lives are going to be somewhat different and I probably want get to see her/go out and party as much, but happy tears, cause this is the next chapter of our life and friendship, new memories and new things to do together including Mar :) ...So I get to the hospital wipe my tears and go on in, I sat with mom (christy's mom) for about a half an hour before they put Christy up in her room aka (SUITE) this room was enormous!! Marlee was definitely coming into this world as a princess.
Time flew by in l&d (labor and delivery) Christy was doing great we were doing breathing with her, trying to get her focused and comfortable, She stayed dilated at 2 forever!!! Mom and I looked at each other like are you freaking kidding me every time the nurse checked, Christy started having back labor, and was breathing but it just wasn't helping she got her epidural and as soon as she got it she progressed withing an hour to an 8! Mom and I were so happy we had maybe 30 min of sleep Christy had Zero haha but we had been there till 1:30 am and it was now around 11:15 I believe so we were excited that the little diva was finally ready to join us, things progressed within the next hour christy was at a 10 and ready to push!! Marlee was FINALLY ready to come out!!
This seriously was the most rewarding experience I have ever had, I have seen a couple of births in my family, but this was different, a new bond between her and I that we both will never forget, I balled my freakin eyes out I was so proud of the both of them Bobby (Christy's Fiance) and Christy are going to make AMAZING parents!!!!
Marlee Rae Russell made her Grand Entrance at 1:00pm on the dot at 7lbs. 11oz. & 21 in. long
Here She is ahhh I could kiss her all day!!!!
